Sensei Max Beddow, IOGKF 6th Dan (Shropshire Karate Academy) came back to Milton Keynes for a New Year session. Sensei Max is well known for his realistic Goju-Ryu bunkai concepts and flow drills.

We had a fantastic day of training with concepts/drills including not-stopping, sink-float-swallow and spit, flow-drills, oyo bunkai etc..

Lots of great feedback from participants and we will look forward to doing it again.

EGKA members have their licences signed for attendance to an official EGKA course.

We had a mix of aged attendees, with a majority being from Goju-Ryu but other styles too.

Sensei Max’s club is very authentic, has great spirit and atmosphere! That is down to Sensei Max’s dedication to the martial arts. His training links back to Gary Spiers through Keith Pace from the days when Max travelled to Liverpool on a regular basis to train at Keith Paces Dojo. Max is an absolute world of knowledge and also has a great sense of humour. Truly a legend in British martial arts!
