What’s the training like?
- 準備運動 JINBI UNDO (warm-up excercises)
- 基本 KIHON (fundamentals)
- 形 KATA (set forms)
- 組手 KUMITE (sparring)
Our kids classes are suitable for beginners and experienced.

Class times and location
(note that times may vary during holiday periods – see calendar below)
- Sundays 17:00 to 17:55: Peewees: over 5 / Juniors: over 7 at Shenley Leisure Centre
- Thursdays 17:30 to 18:15: Peewees: over 5 / Juniors: over 7 at Garthwaite Pavilion

PARENT FAQ
- Does my child need experience? No experience is needed.
- What should they wear? For your first class, wear comfortable clothes like joggers and t-shirt. If you already have a karate uniform, it’s fine to wear it, even if it’s from a different club.
- Do parents stay? For the first class it’s optional. There is seating outside the smaller hall and inside the larger hall.
- What happens during the first class? Juniors classes usually include warm-up, basics, kata (form) and kumite (sparring).
- How much does it cost? From £21 per month.
- What equipment do they need? Uniform, gloves and shinpads. We provide these equipment when you join.

Make your booking
Book using our website and recieve a confirmation email. You will recieve a reminder SMS on the day.

Turn up for you taster class
Turn up 5 minutes early, wear comfortable clothing. You don’t need a uniform. Bring a water bottle.

Line up and join in
Line up with the the other students and join in with the training. We’ll try to make new students feel relaxed and enjoy the training.
